Pandemonium is a multiplayer online role playing game set in Anduraen, the last realm of mankind.  Players must work together to extinguish the scourge of unrest caused by the dominant and powerful elite ruling faction known as
The Thirteenth Order.

Who is developing the game?

The game is currently being developed by Vinny, an army of one.  I have over 15 years of software and technical art experience shipping 3D solutions to Fortune 500 companies.  I hope to get the game to MVP milestones this year and bring in others to scale the game from there.  While this is a steep challenge, I welcome it as I enjoy the creative process.

What will the gameplay be like?

The game will play like EverQuest and World of Warcraft, but smaller in scale.  Exploring, leveling, collecting loot, completing quests and earning rare and powerful items by meeting noble milestones and performing brave feats.  Players can expect to spend time crawling dungeons, slaying beasts and felling adversaries in an open world.

The game will initially support 6 players in an instance of the realm.  If the players enjoy it, the game will be scaled to larger realm sizes.  The goal is to create a fun, immersive experience for a small group and iterate from there.

Pandemonium aims to create an interactive community to tell a fantastic tale and evolve it with live roleplaying events and custom scripted one-of-a-kind quests that involve game master interactions with players during random (and some planned) engagements.  Some of my best gaming moments came from games that deployed this technique so I'll be incorporating these elements heavily into the game

Yes.

In the early milestones of the game I am focused on gameplay mechanics and a fun, immersive realm.  I will then focus my time on tuning the leveling experience and the "flow state" of the game to keep players having fun but also rewarding risk-taking and challenging hardcore players with difficult encounters.

With these core components as the foundation, raid instances and bosses will be introduced.  Events will occur in the open realm randomly, both large and small, where players will interact with game masters and participate in fun, limited-time only events to earn special rewards such as one of a kind items and titles.
